Studies looking at Ketamine as an antidepressant have shown that this sedative can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, although the safety and side effects of this treatment are still being investigated.

Ketamine, also known as Ket, Special K, Ket, KitKat and Donkey Dust, is a tranquilizer that is normally used by vets for sedation and pain reduction, but when used as a recreational drug, it can have a variety of effects on your brain, your body and your health.

This video discusses the pharmacology of Ketamine including it’s mechanism of action as a dissociative anaesthetic as well as an antidepressant. We also discuss Ketamine overdose and the K Hole, what to do in this situation. Finally, we look at the concept of using ketamine for depression.
