Yes. CIT Clinics’ licensed medical providers (MDs) handle all ketamine prescribing and administration, so you can offer KAP legally under our medical supervision. You don’t need your own medical license or DEA registration – we’ve got that covered.

CIT Clinics will manage the insurance logistics for Spravato. Spravato (esketamine) is FDA-approved and covered by many insurance providers, so we help verify your client’s benefits. Typically, if covered, a client might only pay a co-pay (often around $10–$40) instead of the full cost. We handle the authorization and billing process, making it seamless for you and your client.

Not at all. You remain the primary therapist and maintain your therapeutic relationship. We operate behind the scenes for medical support. After the KAP sessions at our clinic, your client continues therapy with you as usual. Our goal is to enhance your treatment, not replace you.

You need to be a licensed mental health provider in California. No medical license needed. Prior KAP training or certification is recommended but not mandatory – we can guide you if you’re new to KAP. We also have a simple onboarding process (a provider questionnaire and an agreement) to ensure everything runs smoothly.

You simply schedule the KAP session at one of our clinics once you’ve partnered with us. We prepare the treatment room, medical staff, and medication. All you do is bring your patient on the day of the session. We manage the vital signs monitoring, dosage adjustments, and post-session care, while you focus on guiding your patient through the therapy experience.

Ketamine is a controlled substance and may only be prescribed and/or administered by a licensed medical provider. By providing KAP to your patients at CIT Clinics you are able to do so legally without yourself needing a medical license. All of our sessions are administered by experienced anesthesiologists thereby making the sessions safe, legal and hassle free.

Your KAP session is fully supported by our clinical staff. We provide experienced anesthesiologists, nurses and other clinical support staff so your patient feels safe and you can focus on providing them the best KAP sessions

Liability insurance, staff, room/office, cleaning, scheduling, medical supplies, etc. are all provided for. If the patient is receiving Spravato and has insurance, we handle the authorization and billing. You don't need to do anything in order for that to work. For IV (not covered by insurance) you simply pay a prescribed fee based on KAP session duration and Combination Infusion Therapy medicines used. We handle all of the rest.

The appropriate/effective dose of Ketamine used during your patient’s KAP session is contingent on their prior experience with Ketamine and other psychedelic medicines. First-time patients are typically started at a dose of 0.5 mg Ketamine per kg of bodyweight. Since all of our KAP sessions are administered by experienced medical providers, we are able to customize the doses for each individual as well as from session to session. In fact, for some patients we will increase/decrease the dose during a treatment in order to provide the most impactful experience for the patient. Please be sure to discuss your session goals with the MDs so they can best support you.

For Spravato we typically start patients at 56mg and may increase to 84mg depending on how the patient responds.

You need a valid license to practice your specific specialty in the state of California. While not required, we also prefer you have completed some form of KAP training/certification. You will need to submit our KAP Provider Questionnaire prior to scheduling your first patient.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Either call (415) 675-1335 or set up a call with Oli Mittermaier, MS (CIT Clinics Cofounder) by finding a time on his calendar that works for you.
