What is Psychedelic Integration?

Psychedelic medicine, in general, is a very quickly growing area of interest, especially with respect to its applications for mental health and well-being. A vast database of research is specifically dedicated to exploring psychedelic substances, of which ketamine is at the forefront. One of the significant insights echoed throughout these studies is that ketamine alone can only do so much, but when used in conjunction with pre-treatment preparation and post-treatment integration work, the efficacy of ketamine in catalyzing long-lasting behavior and lifestyle changes is greatly magnified.

Dr. Ido Cohen, psychologist, therapist and integration specialist says it best: "Integration [is] both a way of being and an active reflective process... it is an attitude towards life - one of curiosity, reflection, exploration, and introspection". In that vein, integration work, as we practice here at CIT Clinics, is meant to encourage and support you in exploring new ways of processing, finding what resonates for you and living your truth accordingly.

Why "Community" Practice?

From the personal experiences of our staff and patients, we also recognize the importance of community while navigating healing, integration, and general post-treatment life.

Integration in community settings offers us an opportunity to feel seen; to share our experiences, triumphs, and challenges. It also allows us to share and reflect on our common — and varying — experiences and to build a greater degree of compassion for one another and ourselves.

At CIT Clinics, we recognize that there is no such thing as a one-size fits all treatment, so in addition to personalizing your approach to psychedelic medicine and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, we offer multiple kinds of integration work and related educational opportunities. See below for current offerings.
