Why Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine can benefit patients with a wide variety of diagnoses when administered together with psychotherapy and using its psychedelic properties. We don’t view the psychedelic effects as undesirable "side effects”, but rather as a vital component to it’s efficacy. In this way, Ketamine acts as a catalyst for changes of consciousness and perspectives that promote greater self-respect, forgiveness, compassion, gratitude and self-love. Many patients report making more therapeutic progress faster when engaging in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
What is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) focuses on the exploration into the root causes of mental and emotional distress (such as depression, anxiety, PTSD) from a cognitive and psychological standpoint while receiving a prescribed dose of Ketamine. KAP is provided by licensed therapists who are trained and experienced in working with patients receiving psychedelic medicines during their psychotherapy session.
How Does it Work?
There are two ways with which you can receive KAP at CIT Clinics.
CIT Clinics Psychotherapists
If you do not currently have a mental health provider who is familiar with Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), then we can introduce you to one of our licensed psychotherapists at CIT Clinics.
Your Therapist
If you are working with a psychotherapist who is trained/experienced in KAP, you can arrange an appointment to have them provide KAP with you at our CIT Clinics. This ensures that you are receiving KAP legally, safely and in an environment that is designed for psychedelic experiences. We work with many therapists who use our services to support their patients with KAP.
